Get on your nerves 簡單的解釋，就是讓你 「抓狂！」

nerve是神經，持續碰觸你的敏感神經，讓人心煩意亂，當然會「抓狂」！

People tend to buy something after asking for a discount. 俗話說：「挑剔的就是買主。」 人們要求商品打折時，就表示他想買那樣東西了。

Old people tend to get fat. 老年人容易發胖（老年人因為代謝減緩，所以較年輕人容易發胖，絕對沒有歧視老年人的意思喔！）

wear you down

wear在此不是「穿」，而是「磨損」 的意思。 可以想像某件事或某種行為，不斷地磨損你的意志，讓你情緒低落，所以是“wear you down.”

另外“wear out”則是「磨損光了」的意思，比“wear down”還嚴重，可以用來形容媽媽的辛勞，例如：She keeps wearing herself out for her child.（她為了孩子，總是忙得筋疲力盡！）
