couch potato「couch potato」（沙發馬鈴薯）是指整天只會窩在沙發上、電視機前面的懶惰蟲，通常因為幾乎都不運動，導致身材也如馬鈴薯。過去泛指美國人，現在電腦、網路普及，「couch and computer potatoes」也有國際化的趨勢，例如：
He’s turned into a real couch potato since he subscribed to the international movie channel.（自從訂閱網路電影頻道以來，他已經變成一個正宗的沙發馬鈴薯了。）
spill the beans
「spill the beans」用撒落豆子比喻「洩露祕密」，例如：
We trust her to spill the beans, Tracy could never keep a secret. （我們相信她必會洩露的，崔西完全無法守密。）
Although they didn't spill the beans, the other team already knew.（儘管他們沒有洩露，但其他隊已經知道祕密了。）
